I've been on deviantArt fpr 8 years now! Originally I registered mainly to look at other peoples' artworks. Then I subscribed, because the free account favourites folder wasn't large enough!

Then I decided that this might be a good place to upload some of my old drawings. That wasn't very satisfactory though and after only adding digital and traditional art to my favourites at first, I noticed that more and more photographs had found their way to my favourites - landscape and nature photography for the most part.

All these photographs were immensely inspiring to me and they opened the door to nature and landscape photography for me. I had been into concert photograpy for many years before, but discovering this particular area was like a revelation for me. Finally I could combine my love for walking outside with my hounds and taking pictures!

I don't believe this would have happened without all these wonderful photographs on deviantArt.

I think it's high time to give something back! So I'm going to do a series of features with images from my favourites on various topics, starting with my favourite one: forest photography.
